Location

The conference is being held at the Greenwich campus of the University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College, Park Row, London SE10 9LS.

The historic campus of the University of Greenwich is a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated in the heart of London. Greenwich has exceptional transport links by train, London Underground, the Docklands Light Railway, London buses, and riverboats. Being slightly away from the crowded, polluted centre of the city, Greenwich maintains a sense of London’s majesty whilst also being full of green spaces and clean air.

The University’s buildings are mostly situated inside the former Old Royal Naval College, one of Wren’s masterpieces. The site includes the world-famous Painted Hall, and the Chapel has been the site of innumerable film sets. In the immediate vicinity are a number of important museums and public sites, including the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park, and the Cutty Sark, as well as many smaller but equally interesting sites like the Fan Museum and the Palestine Exploration Fund.

There are restaurants and cafés of almost every description, as well as some excellent pubs, including the Old Brewery on campus. Greenwich has a buzzing market right next to the university’s library, and just outside campus is the incredible food market with its stands representing global and local cuisines. Central London is close by for those who wish to enjoy the hubbub of the big city, but so too are the more ‘village’ areas of London like Blackheath and Charlton Park.

The majority of conference sessions will be hosted in the Queen Anne Court building. Some plenary sessions, including the Welcome session, will be held in the King William Court building.
